Your 11th Birthday Cake

*This post was first made to my daughter's original website on February 22nd, 2023. Every post is being moved to this website in an effort to keep my daughter's identity private after she requested so.*

Dear Daughter,

Last week was your 11th birthday. Wow. 11 years. I can't believe how much you've grown up and how absolutely beautiful you are. It looks like you've gotten so much taller too! I'm not sure if you know this, but my whole family is very tall. I'm 6'0" myself and obviously Brandon is tall too.

Every year I bake you a birthday cake to celebrate your life. This year I decided to document it with the hopes that someday you'll see the video. I posted it on Tiktok for you but had no idea that it would have ever gotten the attention that it did. I'm somewhat glad that it was a popular video because you or someone you know will be more likely to come across it, though this was not my intention.

My hope is for you to find this website, my Tiktok and Instagram so that you have peace knowing the love I have for you and the love my whole family holds for you. I know that it might be many years before you ever reach out, if ever, but I couldn't be more excited for that day to come. And, even if you never wish to meet me after seeing all the posts I've made, I'll find gratitude that you have peace knowing that I've loved you all along. That's my one and only hope is for you to know the depth of my love for you.
