God seems to reassure me through it all..

*This post was first made to my daughter's original website on April 4th, 2023. Every post is being moved to this website in an effort to keep my daughter's identity private after she requested so.*

Dear Daughter,

God seems to place the most amazing people in my life. I want to introduce you to a friend of mine who I’ll call Tim from here.

Tim, his wife and I see each other often actually. They adopted a child from birth who is now 9 years old. She’s a beautiful little girl, and wow is she spunky!

Last week I went to go see Tim for a few minutes. I showed up at his place of work to drop by some things for him and his wife, which I do weekly.

He pulled me aside and asked how I’ve been since the last time we chatted was quite brief.

I told him I’m well. He looked me in the eyes and said “Ab. I need to tell you something.” Tears started to well up in his eyes.

Now, Tim is a Christian man. He’s such a beautiful person. His wife is equally as wonderful and they pray for you DAILY. They have such a heart for you, like so many do.

He told me, “I had a dream about Ev last night. I wasn’t going to tell you, but now that you’re here, I need to tell you.”

He continued, “I woke up at 2:15 and God showed me the pull Ev has for you. She wants to know you. You need to know this Abby. She’s searching. She may not be asking them questions because it may not feel safe for her to ask, but she’s searching for you. God showed me that she is reaching for you more than she ever has and that this pull will only get stronger.”

I was crying at this time because I knew Tim hadn’t seen a single TikTok video, IG post or blog post that I have shared on the internet. He’s not online much and had no idea on how hard I’ve worked to put myself out there for you to find me.

Tim was actually the person who told me “Abby, it’s a wonderful idea for you to start a website for her to find. It’s not too early (which he stated when you were only 9!) She needs to know the love you have for her and if her parents won’t allow it, you need to launch that page to give her peace.”

Remember, Tim is an adoptive father with a 9 year old daughter along with other children.

There are a couple things that are fascinating about what this conversation brought.

  1. I ironically had a dream about you the same night he did. And crazy enough, Tim was also present in that dream.

  2. Tim woke up at 2:15 on the dot which is your birthday.

  3. Tim had never seen any videos, posts or anything but yet told me you’re wanting to know me, you just may not have made it to search online yet.

  4. As our conversation came to a close, he said to me, “Abby, the Lord will restore the years that the locusts have eaten.” Daughter, if you don’t know this yet, this is the ONE Bible verse that I have clung to during your entire life. Of all the verses in the Bible, Tim stated this one to me.

  5. Tim hugged me while I was struggling to hold back tears. He took the time to pray for you with me even though there were about 10 customers waiting for him.

  6. Tim also shared that he knows our reunion will happen, and it will happen so much faster than what I could possibly think.

Tim and his beautiful wife came into my life only a few years ago. We have all cried together, held each other and prayed for you both together and separate. They love you so much. And as adoptive parents, they are here to support you and I. Someday, I hope you get the opportunity to meet them.

Last week’s conversation with Tim was a reminder of how great our God is. Moments like this give me so much peace.

I look forward to the day that the Lord starts to fulfill these promises for us. My heart hurts for you, but I know it will only be a short amount of time before you know your truth.

Love,

Abby
